UPDATE
June prayer letter
A Busy and Fruitful Month
I had the privilege to travel to Pasto, Colombia. This city is located in the south of Colombia near the border with Ecuador. Our mission was to help a future missionary with his plans of planting churches in this area of our country. Please pray with us for this missionary and his family as he settles in and starts the work God has called him to do. While in Pasto, there were several roadblocks and protests that lasted about 4 hours each due to the national strike that our country is currently experiencing. We praise the Lord because we were able to use this opportunity to share the gospel with the people waiting in line as well as the protesters. We had the opportunity to preach the gospel to hundreds and also handed out hundreds of Gospel tracts while waiting for the protest to finish. Please pray for each of these protesters that they would trust in Christ, the Savior who was preached to them.
Latin American Regional Conference:
This past month our mission board hosted the Latin American Regional Conference in the city of Quito, Ecuador. We had a great time with all of the Latin American missionaries on our mission board. We were encouraged and learned a lot from our pastor, Austin
Gardner, and our Missions Director, Jeff Bush. It has been a trying time these last two years with the pandemic, and this conference was a huge encouragement to
keep on working for the Lord.
Going Back to Normal:
Even though our country is going through many different trials at the moment such as the national strike, economic downfall, surging pandemic (new record deaths and high infected rates every day), the government is making the decision to stop the lockdowns. They have come to realize that the country’s economy cannot support the ongoing lockdowns, and thanks to our God and this decision, our church is again meeting in person and growing in number. We are so excited and very much looking forward to setting many different plans in motion that we had to stop because of lockdowns. Oh, how we missed being able to meet in person. Thank you Lord!
