APRIL PRAYER LETTER
March Began With Many Blessings!
In the month of March God blessed in many amazing ways. We would like to first tell you about Juan Garcia, an intern from our home church who has a desire to become a missionary. We have known Juan since he was a very young teenager, we picked him up several times in the church van for teen events and now he is here with us in Colombia training for the next step in his life. Please pray for Juan as he continues to learn about being a missionary and begins to take the next steps necessary to become a church planter.
Salvation, Baptisms, a Wedding and Discipleship
With March, professions of faith, baptisms and then weddings came. During this month we saw people trust in Christ as their Savior. Along with that we had three new baptisms and a wedding as well. All of this is first of all thanks to God, and it is also thanks to God’s Word being taught through discipleship in our church. I remember when my wife and I were the only ones discipling people when the church started, but praise God today there are multiple discipleship mentors who are also teaching God’s word to others. It is a joy for my wife and I to walk into our church building at different times of the day- before services, in between, or after- and see someone that we discipled teaching God’s word to someone new. All of a sudden we are learning from different church people that people are getting saved and that people want to get baptized. When we arrived to this country we yearned for this day to come and God is so faithful to allow us watch all this unfold right before our eyes.Easter And A New Church Plant
I would like to ask you all to pray for two upcoming events. First, Easter week. Easter here is big, especially when we talk about the amount of people that take it to the streets to express their religious devotion. Please help us pray as we have started to hand out more than ten thousand invitations for our easter services that will run from Thursday through Sunday during this week. Second, the new church plant. We have started to do several studies on where to start a second church in this huge city of about 5-6 million people. Please help us pray for this. We need many new churches because one is not enough for so many.
