AUGUST 2024 – PRAYER LETTER

• Iglesia Bautista Vision in Caldas:

  • Discipleship:
  • Today as I walked into our rented church building, looking for a place to sit down and teach a discipleship class, I went into the first room but it was busy, Brother Roger was doing a discipleship lesson with another young guy from our church.
  • I tried the second room but it was also busy, Sister Sandra was doing a discipleship class with another lady that just started coming to our church.
  • I then tried the third room but there was Brother Camilo getting ready to start a discipleship lesson with another man that arrived a few weeks earlier to our church.
  • It was a sight to see!
  • I loved seeing what God has done.
  • At the end of 2018, in November, when this first church plant was started; it was just my wife and I but God has blessed immensely.
  • This is what I dreamed seeing, people teaching others about our Savior.
  • We love seeing people discipling others.

• Iglesia Bautista El Refugio in Bello:

  • In the Bello church plant we are going through a study of the book of Galatians.
  • It has been very helpful to teach through this book here as it deals with the problem of adding anything to the Gospel.
  • Many people here come from a religious background that believes in a works-based salvation.
  • God through Paul in this letter to the Galatians helps us to understand that salvation is only by grace through faith. No works of any kind that we do could ever save us/justify us.
  • Our Kids class is growing!
  • Please pray for one little one in particular, Chris:
  • His father, a young man, has been battling cancer for a few years.
  • Please pray for the several visitors that we have had in the last few weeks.
